Show Notes

Eben was raised in a very dedicated South African  family with good solid biblical foundation. They were conservative Pentecostals. Compulsory national service called. At the training base, Eben was introduced to drinking and smoking, something frowned on back home.

With training over, Eben returned to complete his education. He chose fashion. Mother urged him to keep reading Scripture.  During a convention, Eben’s interest turned to theology. He swapped his course to a theology degree.  His tutors were kept  busy answering his many question. He completed the course and .... entered a successful business career!  The high life came to a crashing halt when tragedy struck his life (listen to find out what happened). It left Eben shattered, physically and spiritually. He contemplated suicide.

Today Eben is a pastor/evangelist  in the Seventh Day Adventist church.  What happened?   In his own words, Eben says, “I had two choices,

1) Chuck out the Bible and truth.

2) Chuck out life and kill myself.

As Eben would agree, God is very creative in getting our attention.
