Thomas is an actual descendant of Thomas the Apostle of Jesus, whom he is named after. The family were Syrian Christians at the time but are now practicing Seventh Day- Adventists.

It was the steppingstone into his current role. He is a practicing GP; works in a hospice and is involved in 6-week Community health programs.
