Our special guest today is Marleta Fong.
She is a nurse by profession, (she has a master’s degree in Clinical Nursing). Currently she works as a Cognition nurse at the Sydney Adventist Hospital.
Born into a ‘league of many nations’, dad is Samoan with some Chinese and a little German heritage. Mum is Anglo Saxon with some Irish heritage. Her sister Charissa, is a preacher. Mum is the spiritual leader in the family. Dad, though raised as Adventist, struggled with alcohol and smoking, yet took the two sisters to church to ensure they were well behaved.
Growing up with Jesus has been a constant in her life. When her dog died, she cried but talked it over with God. It’s natural for Marleta to talk about anything with God. At 8 years of age, she wanted to be baptised. Two years later it became a reality.
Her family has always been her fortress. They communicate frequently. Marleta sees this as a great foundation for her faith.
God’s always been there. What’s her secret to this relationship with God? You’ll have to listen to find out.
