Julian’s testimony reveals a zig zag life, in Australia and Fiji. His parents served as missionaries. Dad was the schoolteacher in Julian’s life.
As a TK (teacher’s kid) Julian had high expectations to live up to. From 11 to 19 he juggled both religion and his love of heavy metal music. This led to years of copying, emulating his idols Bruce Lee, and bands such as Suicidal etc. Julian calls this his “giving in to Satan’s evangelism”.
It isn’t easy living on both sides of the track. Singing hymns at church and indulging in heavy metal during the week! Is it possible to tear away from such strong addictions? It is, when you believe in someone other than yourself.
Julian’s interview highlights how God’s timing can reach the hopeless and give meaning in an otherwise meaningless existence.
